The database contains the names and details of the women from Ravensbrück and Hamburg who at the end of the war made it to Sweden. Source is the database called „Lund Datei“ verified with the „Passagerarlistor“ (registration lists) from Malmö Stadsarkiv. The „Lund Datei“ was made several years ago by the Gedenkstätte Neuengamme from scans of the original registration cards in the possession of the Lund affiliate of the Swedish State Archive. The „Passagerarlistor“ were made available by the city archive of Malmö in the form of scans made of machine typed registration lists. These lists appear to be more complete than the “Lund Datei”. In the meantime also Genealogiske Föreningen managed to digitalize most of the passenger lists. The verification of the data from the „Lund Datei“ with the „Passagerlistor“ is complete except for the Polish part. My database applies to female survivors of Ravensbrück and those women from Neuengamme camps which late April 1945 were sent from Hamburg to Sweden. Scandinavians, Balts and Finns are excluded. A group coming from Kiel, a party of British citizens, Norwegian, Danish and French women who left Ravensbrück early April 1945 are shown separately. The women from Ravensbrück arrived Malmö from 26 April and before the third of May and the women from Hamburg arrived Malmö on the third and the fourth of May 1945. The origin of the women which arrived Trelleborg on the second of May is uncertain. Some came from the Ravensbrück satellite camp Neubrandenburg and some from the Ravensbrück main camp.
